The role of power balance bracelet and test methods

Power balance bracelet is a stimulator of power. It can immediately adjust user’s body and makes one get better performance, so that it can enhance user’s power and function of balance, and strengthen the flexibility of abdominal muscles. Meanwhile, it will help users improve their mood and keep them in good condition.
Question and answer:
Question: What is power balance?
Answer: The purpose of balancing power is to improve our work, life, entertainment and competition! With observation, we found that by using the power balance and flexibility, people’s core of strength will be increased immediately, and it will bring better balance, bigger range of movement. In addition, it will also reduce one’s pain and make them earn more energy and longer durability.
Question: How is the energy balance working?
Answer: Our body has a magnetic field, the subconscious is the one who is in charge of our actions. In the whole day, we will be impacted on by our work and traffic. This impaction will lead to flexibility reduced, body tired. This tire will make us feel lazy, and a day will be ended with it.
Question: What are the main benefits of power balance bracelet?
Answer:
Question: If energy balance bracelet is safe?

Question: Weather the energy balance is only designed for athlete?
Answer: the answer for it is no. Everyone has the rights to enjoy the benefit from this kind of technology. Thanks to the extensive range of benefit, which includes to prove balance, enhance core of country’s general power, promote the effects of proposal, everyone can enjoy it well.
Question: If the energy balance bracelet could be stained with water?
Answer: Yes ofcourse it can. Hologram has included each material of power balance, even if it is completely submersed in water, it still can keep its original shape and function. You even can wash it with warm water and soap then put it outside to dry. But please be careful not to wash it with washing machine and dry it with dryer.
Question: What is the durability of energy balance bracelet?
Answer: Usually, hologram of energy balance bracelet can last long for one year.
Take for example, one salesman stand with you and pull your hand until you lose your balance. Then, he gives you a energy balance bracelet, and tries to push you in purpose of making you lose balance. Suspiciously, you get more balance than before.
Searching through YouTube, you can find countless of cyber citizens have experienced the test about balance. Kharmala Alexander comments on: “I believe in its products.” Eddie Hui, Tony Rothman pointed further point: “it is a good health products.
It is really good that I will use it all the time. And I will bolt the fuck things.” This is a quite powerful thing.
Recently, I did a balance test for testing the balance between Michle and me. Michle
I discussed the validity of the balance in Steele test.
"You do not know how hard while they push at the first time," he said. "For second time, you performed more balance because of you got ready for it." Steele saw the second major flaw balance test. "When the test subjects know they are in testing, the only way to reduce the placebo effect is ---, so that makes judgments 'blind': Let the experimenter know if it has effects by using the product or not, that will cause them lose balance, and the only way to keep the body balance is wearing the power balance bracelet.”

Do trendy 'power' bracelets really work?

Weekend warriors and professional athletes always seem to be searching for super powers. You know, that little boost of energy to transform Susie Sweaty Mess into Wonder Woman: bold, powerful and invincible.
For many, the search leads to extra hours in the gym or a shift in diet. But lately, some have embraced a much less conventional concept – power-charged bracelets – to step up their game.
"Once you wear one piece, it charges your whole body," says J.J. McGlynn, a personal trainer and paid promoter for the Ampli5 metal and leather sports bands launched earlier this year.
Improved energy, flexibility, balance and performance are among the anecdotal claims made about the bracelets, which include either some metal or hologram technology. Manufacturers admit, however, there's barely any scientific evidence it offers anything more than an attitude enhancement.
"While we have received testimonials and responses from around the world about how Power Balance Bracelet has helped people, there is no assurance it can work for everyone," company spokesman Adam Selwyn says via email.
The science behind the bracelets, makers say, is a blend of ancient Eastern medicine and new technology. In unscientific terms, metal in the bands increases communication between nerve cells and muscles, thus improving performance.
Studies conducted on the technology so far have been small, involving about 50 people per test. That's not enough proof that the power is more than mental, says John Gross, a St. Anthony's Hospital sports doctor and assistant chief physician for the Tampa Bay Rays
"The scientific evidence is sketchy at best," says Gross, who says a number of his patients wear the bracelets.
Regardless, Power Balance bands are sold in 40 countries and the company expects more than $35 million in sales in 2010, the Associated Press reports. Its few dollars hologram bracelets have been embraced by professional athletes and celebrities, including baseball player Shane Victorino, quarterback Drew Brees and reality princess Khloe Kardashian.
St. Petersburg-based Ampli5 is much newer, but uses the same sports celebrity concept in marketing its $25 band. Maurico "Shogun" Rua, a professional Ultimate Fighting Championship competitor is among those endorsing the product.
Gross understands why professional athletes embrace the bracelets and comparable products. They're always looking for an edge, physical or psychological.
He calls the power balance bracelets a "placebo effect," meaning it offers a mental advantage to its user. It's no different than golfers who swear they do best using a certain brand of golf ball, Gross says.
"There's a huge mental aspect to the game," he says. "And that's what these power bracelets are aiming at."
A recent unscientific review of Ampli5 and Power Balance bands by 4you was inconclusive, but did show that wearing one can affect your mental outlook. Teen and adult testers wore the bracelets for a week during regular workouts including yoga, soccer, running, cardio exercise and weight lifting.
Initially all the testers were acutely aware of their movements, energy and flexibility and thought something might be different. But the awareness wore off in subsequent workouts, and none were convinced performance improved.
The products haven't been tested by the Food and Drug Administration, meaning none of the companies can claim to cure medical conditions, including problems with balance, joint pain and flexibility, or fatigue.
Marketing steers clear of specific claims and avoids using the word "cure" in any circumstance. Gross says these otherwise harmless products would be crossing the line if they claimed to cure, or suggested people stop other medical treatments
"If somebody puts the bracelet on and thinks that it can cure their cancer or asthma, then that could kill them," he says.
American regulators are not the only ones watching the products. Earlier this year, Australian health officials challenged Power Balance's Bracelet claims, which led to the company's "no-questions-asked money-back guarantee" for anyone who doesn't like the products.
Power Balance says it's confident the bands will continue to be popular, and they've expanded the line to include necklaces and golf and baseball accessories. And others are jumping into the market, including Ampli5 and IRenew, at retailers such as Wal-Mart and Bed, Bath & Beyond,
Gross, the physician, says his job is to help his athletes maximize their performance and not undermine anything that might be an improvement. He has no proof the bracelets do or don't work, so he's supportive of the accessory, for now.
"As a practitioner, I have no reason to discourage them," he says.

The Power balance bracelet

PROFESSIONAL cyclist Bradley Wiggins used it at last year’s Tour de France.
Pro triathlete Andreas Raelert also wore one enroute to a second-place finish at the 2010 Ironman World Championships.
We are talking about Power Balance’s wristband – the silicone band that its makers claim help athletes perform at their best.
The company made the news last December after an Australian consumer watchdog found the wristbands to be a scam and ordered refunds to be paid to dissatisfied customers.
Controversy aside, there is no shortage of professional athletes who openly endorse the “performance-enhancing” wristbands. Wiggins is one of the many pro cyclists who sport the Power Balance.
Last year’s Garmin-Transitions ProTour team (this year’s Garmin-Cervelo) have been spotted with the band too.
The question is: Do the bands really work?
Together with eight other cyclists and triathletes from the Nanyang Technological University’s biathlon team, we put the Power Balance wristband to the test.
Throughout February and March, we wore the bands while swimming, cycling and running, and recorded our experiences and performance.
Personally, I was cynical. I believe there are no short-cuts to success and the only way to become a better cyclist is to get out on the road and log the distance.
Also, seeming product contradictions did little to assuage my concerns. While statements on the front of the box claimed that the product used “performance technology”, the fine print on the back of the box read, “results vary”.
Power Balance said the bands are developed in the US and embedded with a “Mylar hologram” (a type of polyester film), which allegedly mimics “Eastern philosophies” and optimises the wearer’s “natural energy field”.

Magic necklace or snake oil

Wesley college outfielder Rich Lober is sure the small charm around his neck is what he keeps him balanced and coordinated.
Whenever he plays, Lober wears his Phiten Titanium Necklace, and claims it helps him stay relaxed in the field, and he says several of his teammates use the product also. The company’s website claims the $32 necklace uses specially-engineered titanium to “emit energy that effectively controls your bio electric current.”
“I don’t know if it actually does works,” Lober said. “But I can definitely feel myself relax when I think, ‘I’m wearing my Phiten.’ I feel a little bit more relaxed than if I wasn’t wearing it.”
The Phiten necklace is one of many popular “performance-enhancing” accessories on the market, which are worn and endorsed by celebrity athletes such as the Phillies’ Shane Victorino and the New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony. Doctors and scientists doubt the product claims, saying the companies that make these products are selling snake oil.
“They don’t work,” Dr. Harriet Hall, a physician and medical columnist, said.
Hall said the concept of the body having an energy field is not supported by research, and that these companies are using scientific-sounding claims to scam customers.
“It’s the whole field of energy medicine — it’s bogus,” she said. “It’s based on the pre-scientific concept of life energy and they attach this frequency business onto it to make it sound like science.”
In recent years, the popularity of the performance-enhancing accessories has been on the rise.
The Power Balance features a holographic disk, and like the Phiten necklace, it is said to interact with the energy frequencies of the body
“It’s based on all those Eastern philosophies to create balance,” Selwyn said. It is designed to “help you feel your best,” although he would not say specifically what that means.
Locally, the wristbands are selling well in sporting goods stores.
“More and more people are telling their friends about it; they’re coming in asking for it,” said Nelson Duncan, a salesperson at Al’s Sporting goods in Wilmington.
Duncan wears a Power Balance bracelet himself and said he’s seen positive changes in many customers who try it on. Once, he said, a woman who needed assistance walking into the store became completely mobile after wearing the bracelet.
In the store, Duncan gives prospective buyers the “Power Balance test.” In the test, participants are asked to put their arms out and stand on one leg. The tester is then pushed and will usually fall off balance. Then, the tester puts on the Power Balance. When pushed again, the tester often does not fall.
“Whether it’s a mental thing — it could be — but I’ve seen it work,” Duncan said.
Power Balance has not released any studies on its product, but independent researchers have, and the results are not in the company’s favor. A study released in the March Journal of Sports and Science Medicine found that the holographic bands have no effect on flexibility, balance or strength.
“We replicated the testing they did, the same balance test, the same flexibility test, same strength test,” John Porcari, an exercise physiologist at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse said. However, unlike the Power Balance test, Porcari’s experiment adhered to scientific method.
Porcari found that the hologram imbedded bracelet was no better at improving performance than a 30-cent band from Walmart. He said the improvements seen in the Power Balance test are the result of the person being warmed up, not the plastic charm.
“If I try to push you over, and then try to push you over a second time, you know what’s coming, you start leaning the other way, stabilizing yourself,” Porcari said.
In January, after the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission deemed Power Balance’s advertisements to be misleading, the company admitted that there is “no credible scientific” evidence behind its technology. Later that month, Power Balance came under fire again for its advertising claims in a class-action lawsuit in California.
Now, on its website, the company claims the hologram “reacts differently for different people.”
Lober admits that his Phiten charm is somewhat of a fashion statement. He bought the necklace after he saw professional athletes wearing it in the field.
“The kids are using them because they see the pros wear them on TV,” Lober said.
Athletes can be superstitious, and according to sports psychologist Joel Fish, if a person believes in the claims of the charms, they may actually affect performance.
“We call it self-fulfilling prophecy,” said Fish, director of the Center for Sports Psychology in Philadelphia. “If you believe something like this helps you, then it can help you. It doesn’t guarantee it, but the belief can go a long way.”
Any lucky charm with a perceived benefit will show the same effect, Fish said. It doesn’t have to be a bracelet.
“It doesn’t substitute at all for hard work, repetitions, getting rest, eating properly,” Fish said. “But if you got all those other bases covered and you think this helps — that’s fine.”
While Hall says these products are not harmful, she thinks the companies that make them are being deceptive.
“Science impresses people,” Hall said. “The average consumer doesn’t understand enough science to see what is wrong with these claims.”

Power Balance Bracelets a bust; get a dog, lose weight

Here are some short health news items:
Bracelet may be a bust
An American Council on Exercise (ACE) and University of Wisconsin-La Crosse study found that Power Balance bracelets do not improve flexibility, balance, strength or power.
According to the ACE, “The study evaluated 42 college-aged NCAA Division III athletes who were asked to perform two trials of the following four tests, without warm-up: trunk flexibility, balance, strength and the vertical jump.
“Subjects were tested in the same order, but half wore the placebo bracelet in the first trial round, switching to the Power Balance in the second round; the other half first wore the Power Balance bracelet and used the placebo bracelet in the second round. Neither the participants nor the examiners knew which bracelet was used in which trial phase due to the randomized and double-blind exam protocol.
“In the end, none of the tests demonstrated a significant difference between using the Power Balance braceletversus using the placebo. The only consistent finding was the subjects always did better during the second trial, whether they were wearing the Power Balance bracelet or the placebo bracelet.”
Walnuts are the top nut
A new study shows walnuts to be the healthiest of all tree and ground nuts, which are considered to be among Mother Nature’s most nearly perfect packaged foods. Walnuts have a combination of more healthful and higher-quality antioxidants than any other nut.
According to researcher Joe Vinson, a professor at the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania, they have more antioxidants than almonds, peanuts, pistachios, hazelnuts, Brazil nuts, cashews, macadamias and pecans.
In fact, his research showed that a handful of walnuts contains almost twice the antioxidants as an equivalent amount of any other commonly consumed nut. However, the heat from roasting nuts generally reduces the quality of the antioxidants, so they need to be eaten raw to get full benefit.
Nuts in general have an unusual combination of nutritional benefits in addition to antioxidants. They contain high-quality protein, vitamins, minerals and fiber. Eating nuts has been shown to decrease risk of heart disease, certain kinds of cancer, gallstones and Type 2 diabetes.
Does sitting around really harm your waistline?
Obviously, sitting all day is not a way to lose weight and become heart healthy. However, a study in the European Heart Journal has reported it is not just the length of time people spend sitting but also the number of breaks they take that can make a difference.
The study found prolonged periods of sedentary time (even for those who exercise) resulted in larger waists, lower levels of good cholesterol (HDL) and higher levels of C-reactive protein (an important marker of inflammation) and triglycerides (blood fats). The researchers found that the more breaks people took, the smaller their waists and the lower their levels of C-reactive protein.
As a result, they suggest standing up to take phone calls; walking to see a colleague rather than using email or phoning; standing during meetings; using the bathroom on a different floor; and taking the stairs instead of the elevator.
Get a dog and lose weight?
It makes sense: If you have to walk a dog, you will probably exercise more.
Fewer than half of all Americans meet the minimum government standard for leisure-time physical activity 150 minutes per week. A new study led by a Michigan State University researcher and appearing in the current issue of the Journal of Physical Activity and Health shows people who own and walk their dogs are 34 percent more likely to meet that standard and become healthier.
The study showed people who walked their dogs generally walked about an hour longer per week than people who owned dogs but did not walk them.
The researchers also found the dog walkers were more active overall. So, there appears to be a strong link between owning and walking a dog and achieving higher levels of physical activity that go beyond the actual dog walking.
Other findings revealed middle-age people have the least amount of time to walk their dogs; younger and older people get the most physical activity benefit; dogs 1 year old or younger were more likely to be walked than older dogs; and larger breeds (over 45 pounds) were walked for longer than smaller dogs.

How to use the facebook to fund-raising, The virtual charity know it!

Virtual gifts have the great market. Even in early days there are a lot of people in the facebook who are willing to pay for the virtual flowers to friends. Farmville sell trees and sheep to the players as a part of the game for friends have receive a great success. We found that users are willing to pay for virtual items, even if these virtual items are not for their own usage but for others. I let f the real gift of silicone power balance, silicone jelly watch or silicone ion watch become virtual gifts? What will happen. From this trend, many people began to try to integrate the virtual gifts to social media strategy in the profit model. Then few of them get success. But from several successful social media, we can observe how do the virtual gifts do the application job to the nonprofit organizations to learn some experience. Imagine that you spend £ 2 to send friends a specific charity badge, not a bunch of flower towel cake. Charity logo will appear on the page in the facebook friends (also will display in the news windows of other friends while the £ 2 will be donated to charity. This simple but influential creative idea is just giving gift, this app let friends express their support of specific charities by giving gifts, such as pick up a virtual badge. For example, if you want to show support for Breast Cancer Care, you can get a badge given to friends about the institution, and send a message about the charity and information the activities that they are engaged. When you buy a badge then you donate through Just giving £ 2, if you want to donate more you can choose more. This is a very interesting model, when in a gift reality. Such as the power balance wristband, silicone jelly watch and silicone toy watch what turned into a virtual, it still has so much value. This is a simple and practical creative idea. It success is built on the basis of facebook and other social media behavior: where people like to get together online.
1. Users use badge as one of the ways to express their support –In the last Fresh Networks user survey, we discovered why people on Facebook like to click the "like" button. One big reason is the badge of personal data can be displayed in the user's personal interests and shows what they support. If you are an Arsenal fan, then turn to the Arsenalpage, click on the "like" button you can win one Arsenal team page logo, which shows support for the team. Just Giving gifts provide us with such virtual gifts to friends to show each other the way their concerns and preferences. Of course, you can also click it the power balance bracelet inside for your favorite team gift.
2. Badge provides as mart way to make a special update - in the same survey we found that users prefer Facebook updates and news to enable them to add something dramatic or with additional value. For example, birthday, links or photos they may be joined Facebook, happy birthday poster wall. This can also provide virtual birthday gift towel cake and jelly watch, to increase the special value of the gift of charity is a great opportunity   3. Virtual gifts get benefit from the relationship among the facebook. The social network of virtual gifts also play an important role in reality. when I donated to Breast Cancer Care badge, It is so natural that I share my experience to my friends. The information do not only the organization the activities, but also told friends’ all the friends. This is a charitable organization to share information dissemination, and take full advantage of Facebook's social networking features, it is powerful way to do that naturally.  The way I like Just giving gifts is, the major reason should be subject to the trend that it observed, combine the social networking and virtual gifts together, so easy to play a role in internet and in reality. They do not only satisfy the people to spend money on virtual prouducts online but also explore the reasons behind this and the mode of operation. Only through the discover yand social media to understand how people interact, then can develop truly bring value to our social media strategy. When the hot gift in life, like the power balance bracelet, silicone jelly watch have become virtual, we are still willing to pay the cost of purchasing these virtual items. We need to study this mode of operation, For more information visit  http://www.top-customized.com
